Each season's win concentration is summarized by a Gini of team win shares (lower is more balanced) plus close-game share and margin dispersion.
What it means
Even at the top of that range the league is very balanced (0 is perfectly even), so the shift is small. Roughly a quarter of games are decided by 5 points or fewer, edging up from 23.3% to 25.5%, and the average absolute final margin sits around 12.6 to 13.0 points.
Caveats and confounds
