This is a transparent Win-Score-style linear index with weights fixed in advance, not tuned to any target. Its top is the expected 2023-26 MVP-tier cluster (Jokic, Giannis, Wembanyama, Doncic, Davis, Embiid, SGA), so it passes face validity. It pooled 77,744 player-game rows and ranks the 501 players who cleared the 750-minute floor.
Caveats and confounds
Descriptive only; explicitly NOT RAPM/EPM/DARKO/LEBRON or Basketball-Reference BPM (box counting stats only, no pace/position/team adjustments). Accented names are split across two distinct player_ids upstream, so Jokic appears twice in the top rows, a data-layer join issue, not fixed here.
