What it means

Pitch selection is sticky, and stickiest exactly when the pitcher must throw a strike. When ahead the FF-to-FF repeat drops to 39.44% and the mix diversifies. Off-speed pitches self-repeat too, a slider follows a slider 35.35% of the time across all counts.
