Consistency profiles: Luka is the league's steadiest star

What it means
Consistency is measured as the coefficient of variation (spread relative to average) of per-36 points, rebounds, and assists across a player's games, shrunk toward the league mean for players with fewer games. Doncic and Jokic sitting at the top means their nightly production barely wobbles -- roughly half the game-to-game variability of a median rotation player -- which is exactly what you'd expect from high-usage engines who touch the ball every possession. Low volatility is not the same as high value: a low-minute role player can post a steady, small stat line too.
Caveats & confounds
DESCRIPTIVE_ONLY and NOT predictive: CV inflates mechanically for low-mean stats, so rebound/assist CVs are not on the same scale as points across archetypes, and no opponent/rest/role adjustment is applied.
